Lindisfarne Accommodation – Holy Island Holiday – Self-Catering
Lindisfarne Visitors Comments Page
Dear Robert,
We had a wonderful time on Holy Island over Christmas. The cottage was great – very comfortable and warm and in a brilliant location so near to the shore. I hope very much that we shall have the opportunity to return to Holy Island one day.
Regards

Hi Robert,
We’re just back in Spain today. We really did have a lovely stay, the location of the cottage was perfect and the cottage itself was really lovely. I have a feeling you’ll have some repeat visitors! If you have an online visitors book or feedback tool we’d be happy to tell other people what a lovely stay we had.
With Best Wishes

Dear Robert
We had a lovely time away, thank you for the use of the cottage. The weather was kind, in the most part. I think the bad weather hangs more over the mainland than it does the island, don’t you think? Our friends who came with us have now caught the Holy Island Bug and would love to return. They were very impressed with everything.
With Best Wishes

Hi Robert
We’ve had a lovely holiday and found the cottage to be extremely clean and well equipped. We wanted for nothing. Thanks again!

Dear Robert
Thank you so much!
Holy Island was as lovely as ever! I missed the Northern Lights (BOTHER!!). I stayed up till midnight but then I am ashamed to say I retired to my bed – next time . . .I am imagining that you may well have quite a bit of snow in Derbyshire. My cousin in British Columbia phoned last night to say they have had about three metres of the stuff!!! I told him very firmly that they could keep it.
Every very best wish. Thank you so much for allowing me to enjoy the company of Hedgehope for three glorious weeks.
God bless

Thanks for your e mail. We did have a lovely time on Holy Island thank you. It was a very different holiday from any we have had in the past. Hedghope is in a lovely spot on the island and we enjoyed being able to just leave the house and be almost immediately surrounded by wonderful views down at St. Cuthberts beach. The house met all our needs and was lovely and clean thanks. The new super king size bed was really comfortable. We did have a bit of trouble with the front door key, in as much as we were able to lock it from the inside but couldn’t manage to lock it from the outside. We feel that we would come back to the island at some time in the future as there are still things that we would like to do. So thanks again for letting us stay at Hedgehope.
Yours sincerely

Hello,
Thank you for your e-mail. We had a wonderful week and were so fortunate with the weather. Our 86 year old friend also enjoyed the week. she is very interested in wild flowers and saw over 80 different species ! We met the new Vicar! A few notes might be helpful such as how to work the washing machine (we didn’t use it) you did tell us about the T.V. but we couldn’t find ITV 1 It didn’t do David any harm to miss Coronation Street for 1 week ! We thought that we might have seen one or two people we know !
I’m sure we will be back again, we love Holy Island more each time we go there.
Regards,
Mrs H (Ingleton)

Dear Robert,
Just to say, thank you. We had a great time on Lindisfarne and the cottage was ideal for us. Very cosy, and a refuge from the rather blustery weather. It is a really beautiful place, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We liked the Crown and Anchor. Food was good and a very friendly atmosphere. The Landlord said that his mother had owned Hedgehope Cottage – perhaps you bought it from her? What is the meaning/origin of the name ‘Hedgehope’?
All the best, and thanks again.
